REVIEW OF : SIMHA 2010
RATING : 3.5/5 - dotmovie.in
Balakrishna's latest film 'Simha' is a testimony of love for machismo Telugu film director is mandatory rather than a pure artist and masala action. Although artists masala and action have existed for some time, was in 1999 that had Balakrishna this genre to a whole new level with his hit movie 'Samarasimha Reddy. He repeated this feat again in a 2001 movie titled 'Narasimha Naidu. After a long hiatus, his latest film 'Simha' us back to the old blockbusters the old. Directed by Boyapati Srinu, the film has been produced by Parachuri Kireeti on 'United Movies banner. " Nayanthara, Sneha Ullal and Namitha are the main actresses. "Simha 'tells the story of Srimann Narayana, a university professor whose encounter with Janaki it to his own past.
Narayana Srimann stars like Balakrishna, a university professor who is warm-blooded nature. He does not tolerate injustice and would go to any length to save those who are close to your heart. One day a new girl called Janaki (Sneha Ullal) joins his school, and almost immediately he falls for Janaki. Even Grandma likes Srimann Narayana Janaki and asks to marry Janaki. However, Janaki has a violent past that is closely related Srimann own past. Soon, his grandmother tells all about his past, his father and the royal family. What do I tell? "Who was the father of Srimann? How Janaki Narayana related? That way the rest of the story of this explosive action drama.
First things first, "Simha" belongs to two people. Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu. Balakrishna is back with a bang with this movie and that dazzles both as Srimann and Narasimha. Boyapati Srinu who also wrote the story, screenplay and dialogues of the film has infused a lot of dialogue or costume blow for the characterization Balakrishna in the film. After a long time, Balakrishna shines not only with his dialogues, but also with his style. In the first half that he is a professor soft dresses and jeans is a complete turn around the second half, which projects a majestic avatar as Narasimha still furious. The male gaze hits a high, especially when given free rein to their anger and rage as he pursues the villains with an ax. Boyapati should also be commended for writing strong characterizations for the villains in the film that fortunately exude the confidence, and to fight strong. Of the three heroines, Namitha is limited to certain scenes, whereas Sneha Ullal has an important role to play. However, it is Nayanathara impresses us with his interpretation of Gayathri, wife of Narasimha. She is beautiful in the film and gives a credible performance. The rest of the cast includes Brahmanandam, Ali, Krishna Bhagavan, Kota Srinivasa Rao and others are eligible to hold office.
Despite all the ingredients of an action film, "Simha 'get overboard sometimes with regard to the action sequences are concerned. There is too much of the blood splatters that makes us a little uncomfortable.
Chakri is good music and background score is Chinna especially in the action sequences are impressive. Ram-Lakshman and Stunt Siva has done a great job in composing the action choreography. Venkateswara Rao Kotagiri edition is apt. The production values are high and most of the scenes are shot beautifully. Boyapati Srinu deserves all the credit for removing a powerful performance of the main cast. Performance is unleashed powerful Balakrishna in the first half, while the second is an entirely different story. It is easily one of the best roles Balakrishna has been tested in recent years. Apart from the address, Boyapati also impresses with his dialogues. With 'Simha, Boyapati Srinu has definitely proved to be a major force to be reckoned with.
Simha stronger and also an interesting aspect to note is how it appeals to a wider cross section of the audience. We may have gone from mass-old artists, we can proclaim that the trend has changed and become more sophisticated in comparison with the audience in the '90s. However, whenever the hero in the film, Balakrishna in this case, holding a hatchet or a gun going gaga over him. Do not crave for such heroism that has quietly into the background in recent years? Of course! This is what makes movies like a trademark style, which believe it or not, it really works! Two big thumbs up for the film. Balakrishna shines again and despite his age, is incredible to see how it is going to hit ...........
